This is a limited-edition version of the MINI Cooper Racing kit. (item 58747) Unlike the standard kit, this edition includes a pre-painted body in Blue (PS-4) with White (PS-1) roof and Smoke (PS-31) windows, with pre-cut wheel arches and pre-made body mount holes, which is great for beginner and veteran hobbyists.
The Tamiya Mini Cooper Racing Blue (MB-01) 47515 is a 1/10 scale, limited-edition RC kit featuring a pre-painted blue polycarbonate body with a white roof and pre-cut wheel arches. Built on the versatile 2WD MB-01 chassis, this model features front-wheel drive (FF) for authentic handling, making it ideal for beginners.

About 5.3 million units of the Mini were produced from 1959 until 2000 – remarkably without major model changes – and this legendary little car even achieved second place in the Car of the Century award for the best cars of the 20th century. Its front-wheel drive layout was rare for its time, and it featured ergonomic body structure with compact mechanics and maximum interior space, as well as frisky performance. In 1961, the sporty Mini Cooper joined the line-up and with great racing success, the car gained even greater popularity around the world. This assembly kit creates a radio control model assembly kit depicting the car, with a polycarbonate body pre-painted in blue with a white roof. Stickers are included for the bonnet stripes, body-side pinstripes and racing numbers. 8-spoke wheels are paired with 60D radial tires.
The MB-01 Chassis
The compact, 2WD MB-01 chassis gives a choice of three types of wheelbase, and front- or rear- wheel drive system. This model employs a front-wheel drive setup. Without removing battery pack, motor and R/C equipment setups from the center frame, simply change attachment directions of final gears and steering linkage to switch between front- and rear-wheel drive; low or high motor position can be chosen for rear-wheel drive cars. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension features symmetrical structure and friction dampers. Unitized sections such as motor mount, final gears and suspension facilitate ease of assembly and effective maintenance.

The instantly recognizable Mini form is recreated by a polycarbonate body pre-painted in blue and white.
The front Mk-II grille and rounded headlights are accurately depicted.
Stickers are used for white stripes, racing numbers, bonnet pin and more.
The bumperless rear features depictions of rectangular taillamps and the large rear windshield.
8-spoke wheels are paired with treaded 60D radial tires.

The model features a three-piece steering tie-rod setup with the servo in the front-left.
The four-wheel double wishbone suspension uses symmetrical arms.
The motor resides in the front-right, with power going to the wheels via propeller shaft and the front differential.
The motor mount is assembled as a unit, and secured to the chassis using two screws.
The 4-bevel gear differential is the same as that on the TT-02; this chassis is compatible with TT-02 Hop-Up Option differentials.
The flip-up battery holder gives quick access.
The Mini Cooper Racing uses a 210mm wheelbase. Change sub-deck and lower deck attachment positions to alter the chassis wheelbase.
